When I experienced my second loss in April 2010 I was given an emergency scan but wasn't offered the scan photo or anything tangible to acknowledge my precious baby Teagan,
A while after, my partner brought us a teddy bear which really helped with our grief as a family,
In August the same year I decided to start bearforanangel and offered teddies to families like mine,
As time went on and more people reached out to us via Social media that they had also received nothing for thier baby's especially in the cases of early loss, I put together a little bag of keepsakes that was named after my fifth lost baby, Quinn's bags of hope.
With support of our bereavement midwife we got them into Ipswich hospital epau, soon we was approached by more hospitals, at the moment we supply to four hospital epau's and also families directly in the UK.
During lockdown fundraising became so hard and yet hospitals needed the bags more than ever as women were facing loss alone due to Covid restrictions.
We as a family have had to self fund the bags just to keep going.
Aswell as the bags of hope for the bereaved parents we now want to offer sibling bears that will offer comfort to brothers and sisters affected, these will be simple teddies with a t- shirt wearing our logo and one per family.
