Help Scott stand as Scottish Green Party candidate in Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath at the snap General Election.

by Fife Greens in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, United Kingdom

For voters who support an independent Scotland in Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath Constituency there is now only one candidate to vote for - Scott Rutherford.

The SNP have dropped their candidate Neale Hanvey. All support for his campaign has been pulled, but he will still be on ballot paper. We need all the help we can get to divert campaign energy to the only other Independence supporting party represented in the constituency.

Help us campaign to elect Scott to be your MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath! Local MP Lesley Laird, the Shadow Scottish Secretary, has refused to debate other candidates and engage with constituents so far. Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath need an MP who will show up, act on local peoples concerns and address the issues that matter most to local people.

The Scottish Green Party have a bold vision of a radical, Green, Independent Scotland in Europe

Scott is proud to be representing his home constituency, and understands the massive impact a #GreenNewDeal could have on Fife.

At a time when we need to be taking real, urgent action on the Climate Emergency, Westminster politics is tied up in knots over the destructive project of leaving the EU. Green voices are shaking up politics in Holyrood and in councils across Scotland - it's time they were heard in Westminster too.

The Scottish Greens aren't funded by wealthy business people or big trade unions - we rely on our members and supporters making thousands of small donations each year to keep our work going.

We'll use this money to produce campaign leaflets and help us get the Green message to every home in Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath. Just £10 will help us get A-boards outside three polling places on election day.

A Green wave has spread across European politics in 2019 - that wave is growing in Scotland too, and we need to make sure people have the chance to vote for our distinctive Green politics at every single election.

We can make change by demanding climate action on December 12th. Your donations will help achieve just that - let's get Scott representing the Scottish Greens and Scottish Independence represented in Westminster and let's make real change possible  - #VoteGreen2019 !
