My husband & I are a retired couple who could not turn away 11 puppies born to 2 bitches at the end of November 2018 during the snowy winter with temperatures of -10C in the barn of an empty neighbours house. Once they were mobile they innocently kept getting through our fence, which was putting them in danger of being attacked as intruders by our own dogs.
So to discourage this we started to feed them over at the neighbours barn in the false hope that they will not come back through, this was not successful. Unfortunately 1 of the little ones died on our doorstep probably from malnutrition and the cold it was -10C and we have taken in 2 of the puppies to join our pack of 9 bringing our total to 11.
However, after a lot of discussions with some rescue places in the UK they have offered to take the last 8 puppies providing transport is found and funded.
As a couple we have paid for all the vet fees (including vaccinations, worming, microchipping etc) and feeding them out of our own pension monies but the cost of transporting 8 dogs to the UK is a lot more then our pension pot allows for and
