Unfortunately this project was not successful.

To encourage all diabetics and women to achieve higher than they would ever dream. Live life to the full.

I have had diabetes for over 40 years. It has never stopped me taking an opportunity. I encourage others to do the same, there is always a way to make it happen. Focus on it and I find that you sail with the opportunity presented in a great way and grow as a person. My vision is to sail the two handed sailing race to the azores and back to the UK in 2019. It is a tough race. I will have to manage my diabetes type 1, be strong enough to constantly be on solo watches for the 10 day to two week crossing without stopping. Train to be for enough and able enough to do the long distance sail. Then do our all again and race back to the UK! The money will be used for me to be able to enter the race. After this the money will me used to volunteer and to deliver talks thrift the South West of England to diabetics, women in yacht clubs and diabetic professionals to show that it is possible with a little planning to achieve much higher projects with diabetes or as a woman. To encourage them to take on such projects and to become richer in themselves with the experiences and living with diabetes.  To show them they can live life to the full with diabetes. It makes me very happy to give back to society in this way. Please help find me in my next adventure and to help others to achieved their potential.
