AXA is providing £15,000 of match funding for road safety initiatives via Crowdfunder to enable local projects find the funding necessary to make UK roads safer.
As part of its RoadSafe Schools Campaign, which highlights the road safety issues that schools up and down our country face, AXA will be providing match funding for projects that aim to improve road safety for everyone.
Funding is open for educational training, traffic calming measures, lollipop people, cyclist safety and road awareness courses. Community groups, schools, community road safety officers, councils and support serives can all apply to make their great road safe projects a reality.
#RoadSafe projects can be considered for funding (up to 50% of the target, up to £2,000) once they are live and have reached 25% of their target.
Have your own idea for improving road safety?
There are three steps to apply for funding from AXA:
1) Add your project here - be sure to explain how your project will improve road safety in your local area
2) Launch your project and start receiving pledges
3) Once your project has reached 25% of your funding target, email firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your project, stating that you would like to apply for AXA funding (up to 50% of the target, up to £2,000)
Your project will then be reviewed and considered for #RoadSafe funding. If approved, the funding will be pledged on your live project and will go towards the target.
NOTE: Projects that are not live on Crowdfunder.co.uk and have not reached 25% of the funding target will not be considered.
