Over the last 7 years we’ve built one of the best independent festivals in the UK, with a line up that you won't find anywhere else on Earth. But sadly, this year, we’ve had to postpone due to COVID-19…..
However, we're determined to bring you the mother of all comeback parties next year and we want to make sure that the 8th edition of ArcTanGent (19th-21st August 2021) is the best one yet!
But we do need your support to make this a reality...
As part of this second phase of the crowdfunder, we've got some limited edition, collectible merch on offer with illustration by Drew Millward. This merch will never be printed again so make sure you get yours now!
So please do us a favour and #SupportATG and we'll make sure ATG 2021 will be all kinds of amazing!
WHY ARE WE CROWDFUNDING?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic ArcTanGent has been postponed until 2021. This means that, as an independent business with no corporate backers, we have a whole year with little to no income. This crowd funder will quite simply secure the long term survival of ArcTanGent.
If you are able to help out then you will be a hero, not just to the three of us who work all year round on the festival, but our whole team and everyone else that loves ArcTanGent.
For more information please read the “A BIT MORE ABOUT ARCTANGENT” section below.
Thanks in advance!

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING
We're lucky enough to have some amazingly loyal fans and we need your help now more than ever.
If you missed out on our first crowdfunder campaign, we're launching a second phase so you can help ArcTanGent survive and get your hands on some limited edition, collectible merch.
Snag one of our new, exclusive & limited edition 2020 T-shirts, Hoodies or Posters. Keep your ATG collection going and support the festival at the same time. Designed by Drew Millward.
The money raised will go to ensure we can keep the ATG dream alive, keep us independent and continue to curate the best festival line up imaginable.
Thanks for reading and we look forward to partying with you in a field next year.
Love and (virtual) hugs from all at ArcTanGent xxx
A BIT MORE ABOUT ARCTANGENT
We (James, Goc and Si) set up ArcTanGent in 2013 to explore our love for parts of the musical landscape that get little support from other festivals. We wanted to deliver you a line up that you wouldn’t find anywhere else on Earth, whilst also giving you the chance to let loose and party in a field for 72 hrs. We hope you agree that we pretty much smash this goal every year, with many people (ourselves included), saying it’s their favourite weekend of the year.
Even after 7 years we are still a proudly independent business. We are still just 3 music fans who want to put on an amazing festival and party with 8,000 like-minded individuals.
Over the years, ATG has grown to be an incredibly strong community, which we often refer to as our festival family, and we are lucky enough to see the same faces returning to work hard & party hard with us each and every August. This means that the survival of ATG is important, not just for the 3 of us and our loyal audience, but also for the hundreds (probably thousands) of people that depend on the festival for income every year. This includes the 100+ bands, the sound & stage crew, the food traders, the toilet & waste teams, the farmers at Fernhill Farm, our press team and last but not least our legendary set up crew. We’ve missed a lot of people out here but hopefully you get the idea. All of these people and many more need ArcTanGent around, not just for this year, but for the long term.
In case you’ve ever wondered, the majority of UK festivals (unless they have big corporate sponsors) are small independent businesses without massive cash reserves. Most of the (relatively modest) profits come from the bars and food traders (i.e. not from ticket sales). People are often very surprised to hear that it costs approximately a million pounds every year to host ArcTanGent Festival and a big chunk of these costs are paid well in advance of the festival. A lot of the ticket income is used straight away to pay a whole host of costs, such as staff payroll, online & press advertising, and supplier deposits etc. The majority of these are “sunk costs” which we can’t get back and what’s worse, our insurance won’t pay out on an event postponement due to Covid-19.
As we said above, if you are able to help out then you will be a hero not just to the three of us who work all year round on the festival, but our whole team and everyone else that loves ATG.
Thanks again from all of us at ATG xxx
