As our beloved parliment debates whether to open up yet another bombing campaign on yet another country, no matter what your opinions on this are, the only thing we can be certain of is that it is not going to stem the flow of desperate people displaced across europe looking for safety.
We have been watching this crisis unfold for some time, wondering what, if anything, we could do to help.
A couple of weeks ago some of our crew went over to calais to see what could be done to help. Almost immediately It became clear.
A huge gas explosion, followed by two smaller explosions made it perfectly clear what we could bring to the table. With our experience in how to use gas safely and test equipment we are going to the 'jungle' in Calais to work our way through the camp. We will be testing and maintaining any and all of the donated, and/or bodged together gas cookers and heaters.
We will be funding ourselves but we need to take as many spares as we can and some cash to buy replacement parts once we find out what is needed when we get there.
If you like me have been wondering if you could help, this is your chance! as you can see we dont need much and anything we dont use will be given directly to Calaid, who are supplying donated caravans to keep families dry this winter.
