Arakuzwe is a registered company in the U.K. based in central London. Our niche is traditional clothes, jewellery and accessories from east central Africa.

We provide products that are used in traditional weddings and other ceremonies.  All of our products are available online and we ship anywhere in the world.

We decided to open an online store with mainly products from east central Africa, such as traditional clothes, jewellery and accessories, because there was a lack of them at online market. We, as African women from Rwanda recognized the importance of highlighting our culture on special occasions such as weddings. Therefore, we aim to create a market that is accessible to Africans based in the U.K and other European countries, also bring awareness of our culture through expressions of clothes, jewellery and accessories.

Even during this pandemic, people around the world are still celebrating weddings, birthdays and holding small traditional ceremonies. Our brand is still relevant and will continue to do so in the future when the wedding season comes back in full force. We are finding it that some customers are buying our products for future use or for the postponed events. At the moment, we realize that the market for our products has not disappear completely but on hold.

Arakuzwe wants to survive this season and thrive when the normal life is resumed, whatever that life might be. We want to keep our products at reasonable prices and help our future costumers to find us easily and offer them products that will make their celebrations even more special.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see our Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
