To stop my wife being deported

by John McDougall in Arbroath, Scotland, United Kingdom

My wife and myself have the full time care of 2 of my grandsons.  She is originally from the Caribbean and is only related to the boys by her marriage to me.  She has however, done more for my grandsons than even any of their blood family.  The visa renewal comes up in November and if we can't raise the money she will most likely be deported and if that happens, the boys will be taken back into care by social workers.  The costs entail the visa application itself, solicitors fees and the fee non British residents have to pay to have NHS treatment.  The last time the visa was renewed in 2019 it was £500.00.  The UK government have now more than doubled that to an eye watering £1200.00.
