Resilient Energy
21st February 2017We did it - Thanks to you!
Thanks to the fantastic support and generosity of an amazing 404 Crowdfunder contributors (including you), our Legal Appeal - Planning and Community Benefits (Resilient Energy Severndale) is now proceeding.
We were delighted when we hit the Pledge Target of £10,000 and absolutely thrilled when the Stretch Target of £15,000 was not only reached but exceeded - all in just 21 days!
We believe the case is really important and it has been encouraging to find that so many others think so too. Thank you so much for being part of the positive Crowd and helping us to continue with the Appeal. The extra funding will help to ensure that we have the best legal representation for the case and the best chance of winning.
The legal team, which includes Burges Salmon and Martin Kingston QC, has now submitted the required documentation to the Court of Appeal and the case programme is currently being scheduled. Whilst indicative court timescales would suggest a summer date for the Hearing, frustratingly the earliest available court date appears to be 7th or 8th November 2017. We will confirm the details by email nearer the time. You can also keep in touch on Twitter/Facebook (@Resilient Energy) or via www.theresiliencecentre.co.uk.
Most Crowdfunder pledges have now converted to automatic payments by your chosen method. However, a small number of pledges have not been automatically processed successfully. We will be emailing those concerned separately in this regard.
Once again, many thanks for your support. We believe we have a strong case and we hope to get the positive result we all seek.
