To celebrate our 15th Anniversary taking place on Saturday 1st October at the Hackney Empire, the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School is trying to raise £30,000 to enable us to support a further 100 children per term for the next 3 years.
Less privileged children aged 7 - 18 will be able to access our performing arts training and increase thier confidence, self-esteem, aspirations and life skills.
As well as achieveing better academically thanks to an increased thirst for learning, many of our students have had amazing opportunities within the performing arts industry including 4 year contracts on EastEnders, leading roles in Rev, the Revolting World of Stanley Brown, Top Boy, leading West End roles in the Lion King, Matilda and Oliver! as well as in feature films including Song for Marion and Swallows and Amazons.
Many of our students would not have had access to such life changing opportunities if they had not been given bursaries or subsidised places. Jermain Jackman who had a scholarship with us went on to win the Voice UK in 2014 and another of our scholarship students is currently playing Fletcher in the West End's Body Guard.
And of course we have kept numerous children away from gun crime, suicide and have supported those dealing with chaotic home lives. As the fifth anniversary of the Inner London riots approaches and talk of new protests abounds, community projects like the Anna Fiorentini School make a huge difference.
We have a range of Rewards available ranging from VIP tickets to our Hackney Empire Gala Performance to corporate entertainment opportunities including complimentary dance, singing or dance workshops for your team. And for one lucky backer named as our headline sponsor, a team building dance workshop experience for up to 30 delegates resulting in their staff having the amazing experience of performing on the Hackney Empire stage as part of the Gala Night. We have the deadline of 5th September to find this one lucky backer!
