To create an animation to accompany a commentary that highlights the issue of prejudicial screening within a modern cultural context

My name is Carina Bryars and I am hoping to fund a video animation that will accompany the spoken-word piece I have written called Split Screen.

Split Screen is a social commentary that highlights the issue of prejudicial prenatal screening within a modern cultural context.

The words are strong and thought-provoking and so I hope that coupled with a high quality animation, this piece could reach a much wider audience.

I have been in conversation with an animator in Belfast and I’m really excited to say that we have already gotten pen to paper with some sketches and thumbnails of poignant sections of the Split Screen audio.

This project is completely self-funded and so we are requesting as much help as possible to cover the cost of the animation. Any amount that you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated.

I hope that the finished product will be highly shareable and will challenge the audience to assess their standing on this issue and encourage open and honest discussion.

Take a peek at the video of Split Screen poetry being shared by me at an Open Mic night in South London.

Many thanks!
