Angola 76 is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Our venue faces closure because of such uncertain times, and once we re-open there will be a period of readjustment, the business will face delays in starting back up and maybe have slower trade whilst people get used to socialising again and we can run to full potential.
Your donations will be used to assist us to continue to offer free music to the town and paying fair performance fees to artists. We also have been recently been given new regulations on our licence where we have to sound proof the building and have security every weekend, these all come at big costs that without trading for so long we will struggle to meet, but they are a condition of our licence that we have to meet to enable us to continue to trade. We would also like to put any funding towards a community festival to get people socialising and interacting once again and supporting local live music in the town and bringing the community back together.
