Audrey remembers clearly the evacuees in Woodstock during WW2. She hopes this shelter will bring history to life and stir memories enabling them to be shared.

Anthony Aldridge 24th August 2021

A descendant of Stephen Murphy who served in the 52nd from Ensign to senior rank in the 19th century I want to support the Museum that keeps that regimental history alive.

Leonard Denham 8th August 2021

Having spent many nights (and some daytime too) in an Anderson shelter which we shared with our neighbour, a total of four adults and five children altogether, I like the idea of showing how it was.

Steve Shaw 4th August 2021

I look forward to walking into this shelter the type of which my parents and grandparents had to do in fear of their life..
