Our Vision: To provide accessible theatre workshops which are low cost for participants. Specifically working with individuals in minority groups with an emphasis on those who live with physical and or mental health difficulties and young people in the community. Our vision is that everyone who enjoys theatre has the opportunity to be involved, regardless of societal barriers that may otherwise hinder their creative journeys.
My name is Madeleine Levy. I am a trainee Occupational Therapist and I have been acting since I was seven years old. I enjoy acting and passionately believe in the benefits that it has for mental health and well-being. Those benefits include improved confidence and decreasing isolation. I wish for everyone who enjoys acting and performance to be able to do so in a way that is accessible for them regardless of disability or financial situation.
A group of professional arts personnel including Grace Smith my creative enabler who supports me to make the company projects happen.
My assistant Natalie Cooper with A levels in art, theatre studies and performing arts. Natalie is currently involved in Gilbert and Sullivan armature dramatics society at Birmingham University.
The money raised will help us to get a permanent space in Derby to run the workshops and rehearsals for performances.
