Aldworth Philharmonic at Reading Station 20th July
We did it
On 22nd July 2019 we successfully raised £1,555 with 47 supporters in 28 days

We are performing at Reading Station on July 20th - come and conduct a symphony orchestra!

by Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra in Reading, England, United Kingdom

New stretch target

If we beat our target, the money will be used to enable young people in Reading to access classical music. We'll work with the John Madjeski Academy to provide workshops and masterclasses with all types of orchestral instruments, and will provide free tickets to our concerts so that pupils can experience orchestral music live

There will be a full symphony orchestra on the transfer deck at Reading Station on July 20th 2019, between 2pm and 4.30pm

We'll be playing wonderful music, and you can get involved.

We love classical music, and want to take it out of the concert hall and into places where people do not expect to hear it. We want people who would not normally come to a classical music concert to have a chance to experience a full symphony orchestra.

The event is free to attend, but it is costing us a lot of money. Our players do it for the love of music, but we have to hire music, chairs, safety barriers and lots of other stuff, so we're crowdfunding to cover these costs - and giving you opportunities to be right in the middle of all the fun!

We'll be at the station between 2pm and 5.30 pm

 • Grieg - Peer Gynt Suite No 1

 • Dalberg - Capriccio

 • Sibelius - Finlandia

 • Lumbye - Copenhagen Steam Railway Galop
