I have been writing music for years and would really like to record some of my new material, however funds don't always make that possible.. writing music is something I am very passionate about. Over time, I have spent over £11,000 on my own to this very expensive industry as I wanted to achieve my goal of becoming a professional singer-songwriter and now find that people do buy it which is great. I have done everything off of my own back and paid for many trials and errors to try to make it work as I wanted it to - to pursue music on my own terms. However the payments people make me will never make me back the amount I have spent on it as these payments are quite minimal in comparison. All that said, my passion for music and getting it to a wider audience is still very much there - I am really keen to record some new music so am looking for help with raising funds to record a much awaited new album.
I have been told by many people how much my music has helped them and healed them in many ways and this drives me to want to continue. My goal has always been to inspire others through this journey and I support myself by working in community music - singing in various care homes locally and teaching and facilitating singing sessions.
The recording studio I would use to record at is a not for profit studio which is partly funded by the National Lottery. In order to get the professional recordings I need, I would like to use this studio. They have given me some fantastic results before and I highly recommend them to other bands and musicians. They don't charge anyway near the amount I have spent on other commercial studios.
So, I need you help with continuing this! Thanking you :)
