I'm Alasdair Hill. A proud parent and resident of Burnt Oak; I work as a Director of Studies at a top North London comprehensive school and I need your help to get elected to serve the Hendon community as a Liberal Democrat MP.
Support me to unseat a Hard Brexiteer.
Dr Matthew Offord, the Tory incumbent MP, is a high profile Brexiteer despite Hendon voting strongly to Remain. The Conservative extreme Hard Brexit will see our industries suffer as they are excluded from the Single Market. Jobs would be lost. Costs will rise.
The Conservative extreme Hard Brexit is dividing communities and demonising immigrants. Their lack of British Values and their cuts to our schools, their destruction of Green investment and lack of funding for the NHS is hurting our society and our environment.
Hendon deserves better. Our open, multicultural community needs an open and welcoming MP. My experience working in a state school, supporting students from a diverse range of backgrounds and interests provide me with the empathy and insight needed to support Hendon's diverse needs and interests.
Why the Liberal Democrats are the only option in Hendon.
Only the Liberal Democrats will keep Britain in the Single Market and guarantee the rights of EU citizens. Only the Liberal Democrats will put the decision on our destination after the Brexit vote back into the hands of the people. Only the Liberal Democrats are clear and united to stop the Conservatives ruin and divide our nation. No other party is willing to stop this extreme Brexit that nobody voted for.
As a young father experiencing the challenges of the cost of living I feel the difficulties that people face day to day. In 2014 I galvanised the whole community to save Hendon libraries from closure and in 2016 I played a lead role in securing the 62% Remain vote in Barnet. My fresh approach to politics, based on common sense and consensus, is needed more than ever.
Do something tangible to stop a Hard Brexit.
The first £1000 will help get the campaign running with posters, leaflets and reaching out to new members.
The next £1000 will keep the message hitting home that Hendon does not want a Brexiteer MP.
Help fund my campaign to see an end to the politics of division and fight for a prosperous, united and welcoming Britain.
