We have been compelled to help with the increasing refugee crisis in the camp in Calais dubbed "the jungle".
I visited the camp at the beginning of December 2015 and helped deliver food donations to the refugee community kitchen. They are based in a warehouse where food and other donations are sorted out and then distrubuted to the refugees in the camp.
We have since been compelled to help deliever as much aid as we possibly can and as often as its required. However the running costs are high and fuel and ferry fares come at a price. We are asking for your help in funding our transport on our various trips over the channel. Any extra money we raise will go towards food or building suppiles to the refugees.
Current trips planned include
Delivering catering equipment and food aid ...Departing December 14th 2015
Delivering flat pack shelters ... Departing January 12th 2016
All the proceeds raised will go towards the fuel, ferry and running costs of these and subsequent trips ,thus getting as much aid to those who are very much in need in this cold and dark time.
Please dig deep and think of the poor people living in horrid conditions just 22 miles from our centrally heated homes.
