AfriDACA

Providing basic access to education for children in one of the poorest communities in the world: the Acholi tribe in Uganda.

We did it
On 2nd October 2018 we successfully raised £75 with 1 supporters in 56 days

Myself and a team of 14 other students and staff from DACA sixth form and the CRED foundation (UK Registered charity) will be spending two weeks with children in the Acholi tribe in Uganda, with the aim to improve educational outcomes and quality of life. This community is one of the poorest in the world and many children don't have the opportunity to study at school. Whilst we are there, we will be: providing basic literacy and numeracy lessons; increasing participation in sports/arts activities; supporting the continuation and development of the work led by CRED and exploring the culture. Donations will therefore be used to supply and transport educational resources which will allow my team and I to teach and bring excitement to the children through involvement in their local community.
