Welcome - we're Victoria and Will!
Ever since we were young we've had a passion for travel and been lucky enough to be in a situation to afford this. Two years ago we'd planned a trip to a Disney World, did a 360 and re-routed to Vietnam! Our tour operator tried to charge us £3, 000 each for the privilege (3 weeks).
Some thoughts we had on this:
- "That's extortionate"
- "What the hell is your margin on that"
- "How on earth can people afford that" They can't.
We think there is a market for people who have never been to more adventurous places on holiday as they don't know what to expect. They're willing to pay a premium for the security and peace of mind offered by a tour operator. The downside being that the price inflation applied by tour operators can exclude the possibility for some people.
We're saddened by this and want to bring the world closer for everyone
We want people to have the peace of mind of booking through a tour operator but the costs closer to that of booking it themselves.
Our aim is to keep it cheap for people to encourage travelling. We do not want to make a fortune doing this, just enough to survive and support our own travels. We think it's good for the soul
The proposition & how it works:
We would have access to the booking portal that travel agents use which gives the rock bottom prices for flights, hotels and tours - far below what you see on public sites (and it's how some tour operators make their money). We would pass these prices over to the customer with only a 15% fee to cover our costs. No hidden fees.
