Active Play in Twerton
We did it
On 9th September 2017 we successfully raised £1,691 with 37 supporters in 35 days

To develop active play and physical challenge for young children to support their development and wellbeing through new play equipment.

by Twerton Infant School & Nursery in Bath, England, United Kingdom

The school has around 220 children between the ages of 2 and 7 who love to play and explore.

Our playgrounds and wooded areas are very well used but we are keen to provide an all-weather surface and climbing frame that can be used all year round.

Like many other schools, we applied to the Big Lottery, Awards for All, to seek funding but were unsuccessful because we are considered to be a large organisation.

The climbing frame will cost just under £4,000. The safety play surface and preparation works will cost £5,500 and the other £500 was to install some additional monkey bars.

This will provide long lasting play equipment that meets every safety standard.
