Unfortunately this project was not successful.

To raise money for new equipment & music licences (so we can compete) and keep the cost to our parents down to encourage more people to join

by Aces Cheer and Dance in Nuneaton, England, United Kingdom

Aces is a non profit Cheerleading group based in Camp Hill in Nuneaton.  We are a small club who train every Saturday for 6 hours at a Community Centre along with recreational teams.  Our coaches are volunteers and coach our cheerleaders simply out of a passion for cheerleading.

Whilst we are always looking for ideas for fundraising, and doing as much as we can to assist ourselves, we sometimes need a little help.  We managed an amazing achievement of qualifyng to represent the UK in June at the European Cheerleading Championships and we managed to raise £7,000, thorugh various fundriasing activities, to help get our cheerleaders to Holland to compete.  However that exhausted a lot of fundraising options and there is now very little money in the fundraising pot! With the increased rules surrounding music licences we will struggle to find the money to pay for the licences, without which we cannot compete.  We are also in desperate need of new equipment together with new club t-shirts, and any funds raised will go towards the licences, club t-shirts and equipment such as air tracks.

Cheerleading, depsite popular opinion, is not just a bunch of girls (and boys) standing around with a pom pom shouting "give me an A".  Our cheerleaders work extremely hard at training and also practice at home due to the limited time we have at the Community Centre.  We are trying to get more people involved in cheelreading in the local community, as the value of being part of such a dedicated team is invaluable, for the cheerleaders and their parents!  Not to mention the benefits of the exercise and also the advantages of improved confidence levels!  By fundraising for the "extras" we can keep our monthly costs down as much as possible which will, of course, encourage people to take part.

Got an idea like this?

Our crowd has raised over £60 million for bright ideas and good causes.
