To cross country paraglide over 200km.

by David Perryman in Halifax, England, United Kingdom

I am 50 years old, born in the UK and now retired to paraglide.  I started my paragliding career June 2015 and passed my initial training on my beginner wing (Ozone Mojo 5) in September 2015.  I progressed to a low end B wing (Ozone Buzz Z5) in March 2016 .  I practised thermalling during 2016 in Spain, UK and South Africa.  After about 110 hours I progressed to a Ozone Rush 4.   Since this progression I am now concentrating on XC (cross country) flying.  During Dec 2016-Jan 2017 I have progressed my XC to 25km.  I have located myself in the Swiss/ French Alps to help me progress my XC to over 100km in 2017 and then onto 200km+.  I am self funding my relocation and travel, but I need help with my next wing, Ozone Delta 3, approx £3100.  This will help me progress XC 200KM and onwards.  My medium term ambition is to keep progressing and aim to fly much faster wings to move towards 400km+, this will take much more funding and personal expense.
