The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA), based in Feltham in West London has twenty two years’ experience providing refugees and migrants with support, skills and knowledge to help them prosper in the UK.
This project specifically aims to help 100+ refugees find employment by providing them with a sustainable support system consisting of language classes, business advice, CV advice, skills and e-learning to learn digital skills online that will aid them with finding employment. This will be provided by ACAA volunteers, training providers and where mental health and well-being is an issue, Hounslow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Mind UK. To advise refugees in receipt of Universal Credit referred by the job centre on how to move forward with employment and deal with changing circumstances, wages and applications through DWP online.
We want to support those who with our support, have potential to be fully integrated into British society as employed individuals. This could also be through aiding beneficiaries with self-employment.
However, to make the project duration last longer than 1 year, it will require more sustainable fundraisers from those who are interested in helping Central Asian and Afghan refugees integrate into work.
Your support to raise funds for this important cause is always appreciated. Any shared link, any funds raised will help to influence refugees into gaining skills, qualifications, employment, society and a shared community...
