In West Oxfordshire, the Green Party consistently works for our constituents all year round. For example, in 2017 we worked with Liberal Democrats to start a grown-up conversation around politics. A two party state does not work, and so it is down to others to stand up for democracy in the UK.

We know that combating the worst effects of climate change rarely comes close to the top of the agenda for the other main parties. This is why it’s vitally important that there’s a Green Party voice on all our local councils.

We have consistently highlighted the worst excesses at both district and regional councils, as well as supporting the residents of Oxfordshire with their issues. We fought to keep Children Centres open, we have fought against irresponsible mass building projects, and we fight for you. But we cannot do this alone. That is why our leading Green Party candidates in Abingdon, including Cheryl Briggs, are asking for financial help to get themselves, and other Greens, onto our local councils.

Not everyone can spare time, but a small donation will make a huge difference. We rely upon our membership and small donations to support our cause; with over 99% of our local funds originating from £50 or less donations - we do not have big corporations' or unions' cheque books at our disposal! For the price of a latte a week, we can cover the costs of printing window posters, and for less than a meal out, we can print and deliver over 1,000 leaflets to local homes. Imagine what we can do with more! But whatever you could spare would be a massive help.

100% of these donations go towards supporting the Oxfordshire Green Party.
