The Belfast property market is still sitting at 40% below 2008 levels, unlike anywhere else in the UK, and stands to be uniquely placed as a contact to the EU and to the UK when the Brexit dust settles.
I have tried renting in this up and coming city with no success, and I have seen the poor conditioned houses that are being offered to young people for expensive rent, and often with large holding deposits with no guarantee they will get the accommodation. On top of this they are charged admin fees that are simply not fair. Viewing times are very rarely after 5pm and as a result it is very hard for anyone with a job to view a rental property.
I want to change the image of landlords in the city, operating a smaller number of properties, investing in affordable good quality housing, and personally meet all tenants and charge no upfront fees at any reasonable time during the day, evenings and weekends.
