I love my job working as an Assistant Practitioner helping to support those with terminal illness from the start of their journey until near end of life. I feel I am making a difference to the lives of my patients, and their families in providing support and empathy when it is needed most. I began re training when my husband died with cancer 5 years ago. After much saving and a bit of finance I brought myself a new moped/scooter to enable myself to get to work, and also to regain some independence after a traumatic time.
4 weeks ago, my garage was broken into and my independence (moped) was stolen, they even took my helmet. I am devastated as my insurance, when it is paid out, will not even cover the down payment on another.
Any help which can be provided would be so gratefully received, I do not earn very much and even work weekends to enable myself to pay my bills.
If you can help I would be so grateful, I just want to be able to get to my 10 hour shift each day without adding the extra, 3 hours of travel which is collectively added onto my day.
