My aim is to raise enough money to replace my Broken lathe with a good quality new lathe capable of creating work to the same high standard.

Hi,
My name is Aneirin and i'm an artisan green wood carver and bowl maker. It's my dream to create everyday works of art for you to enjoy

It all started with a love of nature and art. I combined my passions and became a responsible green-wood worker and artist. I'm now mainly producing Wooden bowls, tableware, welsh stick backed chairs, art objects, illustrations, prints and pyrography artworks, natural adornments and talismen along with the odd bit of prop making!

Unfortunately one of my most important tools - my woodworking lathe, recently failed on me and i soon discovered that it was beyond repair. I came to realise that to replace it with something less likely to fail again and capable of creating the quality of work that you all expect of me would currently be too costly for me. This is when i began to consider crowdfunding, if i am able to raise £2000 i can get a high standard

Jet Variable Speed Woodturning Lathe (around £1600) a new tormek grindstone (£130)and with the remaining money i can acquire a second hand bandsaw along with some much needed dried and sawn timber for furniture projects and/or afford other workshop repairs and replacements.

Those who make the largest donations will receive artwork or woodenware as a thank you!

*WOODEN BOWLS-
Most timber is known to have powerful natural antiseptic qualities which makes it a perfect material for eating from. My bowls are ideal for breakfast, soups and stews and all manner of meals, they can last a lifetime and will prove to be a constant pleasure to use.
All bowls are finished with a mix of local Raw Cold Pressed Linseed oil and Beeswax which naturally polymerises making the bowls water repellant.
They are created skilfully with a sharp blade and without the use of sandpaper This makes for a finer finish that will age more beautifully than sanded wood.
The bowls are signed by the artist before posting.
All timber is responsibly sourced in wales.
My bowls will not smash as readily as china and they have far more character! Check out my page for more woodland crafts and artwork - https://www.facebook.com/the.art.of.aneirin/…
