The money that I set as the target is half the amount I need just to buy all the clothes in, because I want my sizes to be inclusive, but with the extra money I would be able to buy all the clothes and start getting in everything I need for packaging.
I decided to call my brand Bamilek, this is because I am Cameroonian and my tribe in Cameroon is called Bamileke. I wanted to start a brand that represents me and my heritage and with this name it does just that. One of my designs is called the 'Black Excellence Top' with this top I will be using a portion of the profits I make to help the black community in the UK.
My company's core values are inclusivity, vibes and creativity:
Inclusivity because I want everyone to be able to wear my clothes and feel comfortable and represented through my brand.
Vibes because if you know me you would know my vibes are very precious to me, like don't mess with my vibes, and I want people to see my brand and feel those vibes when they wear my designs.
Creativity because I am a creative person and I put my creativity into my clothes, which I hope inspires others to express their creativity in their own way too.
My clothes are made from 100% organic cotton and recycled materials and are printed using eco-friendly inks. I want my company to be as sustainable as I can make it so I will be using eco friendly packaging throughout my brand.
I was rushing tried to set up this crowdfunding page because my goal is to launch my brand by my 21st birthday on June 20th, that I accidentally made the page all or nothing, so if I don't make my target then I won't get any of the money that has been pledged, and it will just go back to whoever made the pledge instead.
With all the money that I raise here it will help my kick start everything, from buying stock to making sure that my brand is sustainable and not just another brand that is going to harm the environment even more because that's the last thing we need right now.
