Exotic Pet Refuge Documentary -Student Film

To raise money to cover travel and production costs to enable us to finish the film

We did it!

On 6th May 2014 we successfully raised £375 of £375 target with 6 supporters in 28 days

Our film is a short documentary about the work and volunteers at the Exotic Pet Refuge in Peterborough, UK.

The refuge looks after over 400 abandoned exotic animals that would otherwise have been put to sleep.  Our film shows how, with no formal funding, the volunteers of the refuge work tirelessly to care for the animals on whatever donations they can raise.

This is our final year student film which is a behind the scenes look at the workings of the refuge and the passion that these people have for the animals.

The film will be screened at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield in June as part of our Sheffield Hallam University assessment.

The film above is a rough draft of the pilot film that we produced last year.

Our CrowdFunder campaign is to raise the £375 costs that would enable us to finish the full film.

This film has been a labour of love for all the crew involved.  We have made numerous journeys to Peterborough to meet the volunteers and to film the work that they do.

The refuge is home to some amazing animals including two beautiful Canadian Timber Wolves, a lynx, an ocelot, two emus, an alligator, many monkeys, meerkats, otters, hawks, owls and silver foxes.  all of whom would have had to have been put down if the refuge wasn't there.

We are making this film to show the incredible work that the refuge does to take in and look after these animals.
