by Michael Washington in Huddersfield, England, United Kingdom

Please help Huddersfield Falcon Motorcycle Club to provide financial support to Chris's wife Jen and their 2 young children.  37 year old Chris Swallow was tragically killed in this years' Classic Senior TT on the Isle of Man. Although a member of the Club, and an ACU Licence holder, Chris has lived and worked in New Zealand for some 10 years as a P.E. Teacher, but he is a Yorkshire lad who formerly competed in cycle and motorcycle trials before following his Father, nine times Manx GP winner Bill Swallow, in to road racing. He first competed on the Isle of Man in 2007, and finished runner up in the 350 & 500cc classes of the Manx GP in 2012. In 2018 he finished 4th. in the Senior Classic TT, narrowly beaten for 3rd. place by current top TT rider Lee Johnston, the race being won by TT Legend John McGuiness.

Chris was awarded the J.W. Edge Trophy by the ACU Yorkshire Centre for his achievements in road racing in 2018.

The ACU Benevolent Fund have already made a donation and the Club will make an immediate donation of £500, to be followed by the proceeds of their 8th. Round Club Championship trial to be held on the 2nd. November.

Although generous donations have been made in New Zealand further donations are invited from all UK motorcycle sport fans
