Cat Cafe Manchester

Love Cats? Love Coffee? Cat Café is coming to Manchester in Spring 2016.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

The vision for Cat Café Manchester emerged at Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year when co-founder   Elena Close visited a similar venue in Scotland’s favourite City.  Being an entrepreneur with a love for cats she couldn’t help but see the potential and need for a similar venture back home in the North West of England.   Having pitched the idea to her sister and business partner Sarah, they decided that the idea was worth pursuing, and have since developed it into their second business venture.

Elena and Sarah Close own and operate an online party supplies company in Lancashire and despite still being in their twenties have the backing of 6 years’ worth of business experience and success.  Their company Fancy Pants Party Store Ltd, has in fact flourished with exponential year on year growth since it was founded in 2010, and this flare and passion for business is something new that the entrepreneurial sisters intend to bring to the Cat Café concept.

Cat Café Manchester has indeed every intention of being a permanent business venture and a part of the city for many years to come; and if the owner’s track record is anything to go by, I wouldn’t be the one to doubt them for a second.

What is a Cat Café?

The concept is simple, come in and take off your shoes, grab a coffee and snuggle up with a cat. City life is so fast paced and stressful, Cat Café is a sanctuary offering customers some much needed relaxation and stress relief.  Patrons will pay an entrance fee which allows them to spend as much time as they like in the café, whilst enjoying unlimited beverages.

What will be on the menu?

Due to health and safety there will be no food prepared on site. Therefore we will be offering an extensive drinks and snacks menu for customers to choose from, and all hot and cold beverages will be unlimited and free of charge.

How will Cat Café Look?

Cat Café will be cosy and comfortable, a home away from home.  Imagine comfy sofas and blankets with rugs and beanbags.  There will be free Wi-Fi available, as well as a computer for customers who may wish to catch up on a bit of work.  There will be a large tropical fish tank (entertainment for the cats as well as the humans) and a TV corner with a games console set up.

What do we need the funding for?

Cat Café need the funding to ensure the proposed premises is a Cats paradise.  We’re talking cat trees, climbing frames, plush bedding and water fountains.  We are not ashamed to say we want to spoil our cats rotten; and your contribution will go towards renovation costs to ensure this is a building designed specifically for cats to a cats very high standards and expectations.
