In 2016, we embarked on raising funds to build a new pavilion to improve facilities and attract new members to the club. We combined that with efforts to attract new volunteers and have reaped the benefits, building new relationships with local community groups who want to use our new pavilion for community benefit. We are talking to a local group called Leeds Irish Health and Homes who support people in the local community with disabilities and the elderly to improve confidence and help people make friends and meet new people. The challenge at our ground is that we do not have disabled access to the ground. The charity are keen to base themselves at our ground during the week (when we dont use the facility) but without disabled access we cannot support them in their aims. Therefore, we need to raise money to help build a ramp to allow access to people of all abilities.
