Nursing in intensive care during the pandemic showed me first hand the devastating effects of Covid 19.
I am privileged to live in a country where a vaccine was available and feel incredibly fortunate to have now had both doses.
Over the years I have been lucky enough to travel extensively and "see the world". As a result I have also seen poverty and inequality, and know that access to healthcare and resources is still a significant problem for many.
As the world faces Covid 19 I want to do something to help the global effort to vaccinate as many people as possible.
In May I shall be undertaking a 50k solo walk along the Thames Path to raise money for UNICEF and the COVAX appeal, to help deliver 2billion vaccine doses to front line workers.
Any donation however big or small would be much appreciated, and could save a life!
