We are a group of graduates, apprentices and placement students, based in Warrington, who want to support our local community by fundraising for Samaritans Warrington, Halton and St Helens.
Samaritans works to make sure there's always someone there for anyone who needs it. They have been particularly supportive throughout the past year, as the COVID-19 pandemic has heavily impacted the health and mental wellbeing of so many. We hope to thank them and support their ongoing efforts by fundraising as much money as we can.
To reach our fundraising goal, we are each going to complete a fitness challenge of walking 500 miles in 100 days, which is around 1 million total steps, or 10,000 steps per day. This challenge will improve our own wellbeing, after a very challenging year, whilst raising money for a valued charity.
We will invest a small percentage (< 5%) of funds raised into future fundraising events for charity, such as our Crazy Bingo Night, and the rest will go to our local branch of an amazing charity ‘Samaritans of Warrington, Halton and St Helens'.
