Bio: I am a student at the University of Aberdeen studying Geology and petroleum geology. I am currently going into my final year of university. I’m 22 years old and fully independent. I work as a labourer on and off whenever I can to cover my expenses while at university.
Goals: My aim is to complete university with a first class degree in Geology and petroleum geology. Ironically despite my degree choice I want to actually focus on ways of helping/contributing to the present global climate crisis. I want to be part of something bigger, something that means something to everyone not just myself. I want to push for a world that has clean air, green energy and electric cars not smog filled cities and rising global temperatures.
The problem I have is that my 6 week mapping project in Montgenevre starts on the 30th of June. I have to try and get the money together to pay for
- Flights and travel expenses £200
- Accommodation for 6 weeks £800
- Food and living expenses £400
I am in a very difficult position as I have to complete this part of my course in order to complete my degree but at the present moment I can’t afford to do it.
I’m not here asking for a hand out. I would just appreciate any small contribution that can help me achieve my goals.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
