In the family courts, a protective mother making allegations of abuse toward the father will be without a doubt, finding herself facing Parent Alienation accusations. The courts will facilitate the father becoming the victim.
What will follow is an investigation to apportion blame.
4OUR CHILDREN offers services for unrepresented Mothers in family court proceedings.
Mothers are left alone to face family court proceedings without help, guidance or support. Legal representation for just one hearing including paperwork can cost in excess of £700. Mothers cannot afford to lay out possibly thousands of pounds for solicitors to achieve the same or similar outcome if they obtained the relevant support and information to represent themselves.
Our services are free to our clients.
We are unique in that there is no other organisation that offers this much needed service.
We have helped mothers in family courts for approximately 2 years even though we are struggling with difficult situations ourselves.
When I first started helping mothers I did not anticipate how this problem is happening to literally thousands of families.
Domestic abuse destroys lives and children’s futures.
We cannot stop helping mothers or turn anyone away.
Some clients have been with us for 2 years.
We are asking for help so we can expand our services to offer monthly clinics, provide face to face help, such as supporting mothers in court and supporting mothers at third party meetings. Setting up a media profile to raise awareness of our services.
So many organisations end up in the loop of signposting. We are not going to be one of those services.
To grow our organisation and offer high performance services that will make a difference to the lives of thousands of children and become recognised in our field. To provide statistics to charity funding organisations to raise funds to provide a full service.
HOW WE WILL USE OUR MONEY RAISED
To cover travel expenses when we support our clients. Cover costs of printing and stationary for our clients. Pay for one year of a telephone advice line to be set up and run. Paying for monthly meeting venues. Any funds left over will be put toward training costs for our volunteers in a number of roles and marketing materials.
