4C Architecture have developed the first off-site modular roofing system.  Lightweight and extremely durable, the product can be fitted on houses in hours rather than days. No need for scaffolding, lower Health and Safety risks and huge cost savings to all parties involved in home building.

Our Products

We are manufacturing the first ever modular tile effect roofing system. The system is a lightweight, extremely durable system that looks just like traditional roofing tiles. The system consists of a GRP tile effect surface, the specified truss sections which are designed by ourselves and PU insulation foam applied in factory. The system is constructed offsite in as fewer pieces as possible allowing quicker installation time on site. The product is also fitted by ourselves.


We also manufacture a 'power roof' which is an edge to edge pv renewable roof which can generate up to 210w per sqm, an efficiency of 21.5% and a performance guarantee of 25 years. We manufacture the solar panels for the roof ourselves using the best materials the market offers giving us the flexibility in performance and design. We manufacture the panels to a variety of shapes and sizes meaning we can fit the panels in to corners, around windows and around chimneys. We also supply the panels to other industries such as Marine and OEM (Original Engineering Manufacturers). These products are manufactured by 4C Energy who is also designing the first UK offshore solar farm and offshore multi renewable platform, this is in line with Wave Hub and the Marine-I project.


Insulated Panels are another product supplied by 4C Architecture for both residential and commercial builds. These panels are available in any length from 1 meter to as long as 18 meters if necessary. These panels are available in timber effect, brick effect, stone effect, flat effect and any other effect the moulding process will let us. The system is a 25 year system and is produced emitting a fraction of the VOC and carbon emissions the traditional powder coated aluminium panels have to go through for 25 years but provide the same (if not better) performance to these methods. Using fire retardant materials this is a very efficient product for any kind of building.

We also supply these panels with a PV solar face, utilising further areas of the building to supply renewable energy. We arrange full installation of these panels if required by the client.


The Business

We manufacturer off-site GRP building products for the construction industry and specified renewable solar panels for the marine and construction industry (4C Energy)

We have manufactured the first tile effect off-site modular roofing system for residential homes. The system consists of everything from the eaves up, this includes; trusses, insulation, structural boards and tile effect GRP surface.

We are in the process of working with the University of Exeter to develop a solar panel system which can replace the GRP tile surface. This will give edge to edge coverage and utilises 100% of the roof space for PV energy generation.

The solar panels for our roofing system can also be adapted to other industries such as Marine and OEM


We are aiming for the off-site construction market which is a growing market and a solution to the current restraints of the current housing issues will boost the productivity and accuracy within this market.

The current UK Construction market is worth circa £100bn to the UK  economy but it is struggling to grow with the current onsite methods.

Our system solves that issue and will allow the economy to continue growing. A recent study we did with a construction company in Cornwall showed that by using our roofing and wall covering systems, they could save an average 6 weeks time in labour (an average of £12,000) per house.

Developers and the government are looking more to offsite solutions due to the time and savings needed for this market.


We have a line of interest in our company with regards to our products. We are close to full scale manufacturing depending on investment.

We have agreed to an Enterprise Zone building with Cornwall Council which is an A+ EPC rated building allowing us to manufacture our products in ideal temperature and climate conditions.

We aim to employ around 10 people in the first instance ranging from factory workers to admin staff to customer service coordinators.

We aim to grow continually and remain innovative and our aim is to stay focused on the current market materials and also our inhouse R&D.

The Plea

We are currently in a position where we are trying to manufacture our products but we can't perfect the correct environment for our processes due to our current premises. We are needing to raise the capital to help us move into our forever home. 

We have to be in a position where we can achieve to deliver what is in our current sales pipeline, at present we can not achieve that but with your help we can! 

We intend to employee 10 people in our first month within this area and then a further 20 or so people by the end of the year.
