We are creating a 3D print farm & 3D printing education centre
We will be offering free evening courses for children and adults on a one to one basis to learn how printers work and how to operate one
ona successful campaign::
We will also have 10 printers in a office which anyone can pop in and use for free as a makerspace including free filament
Almost 2 years ago i started Express Prototype LTD, this was a part time business from home ran out of my spare bedroom.
I originally started after spending over 15 years in precision engineering manufacturing i wanted my own business.
Over the last 2 years i have produced thousands of components for all different sectors from motor sport, medical to model train sets.
Having reached capacity with 16 3D printers at home and producing a reasonable income which even part time paid off the cost of purchasing cost of the printers and material totalling over £30,000 its now time to move up to a business unit, upgrade to even more printers and employ staff.
The aim is to raise £50,000 or more to cover the cost of purchasing more equipment, to be exact we are looking to purchase 50 3D printers for the farm.
This will make us by far the largest 3D print farm in the UK by almost double the capacity.
This would give us a expected yearly turnover of £405,000
The remaining balance is to help cover any expenses such as stocking material and packaging.
Once setup we would be looking to employ school leavers wanting to join manufacturing and additive manufacturing which is still at the start.
Below are some images of parts we have created
