Hi all.
In the last 8 years, I have undergone 5 knee surgeries and although I no longer need further operations, it has taken it's toll on my ability to be as active as I used to be.
Reason I am saying this, is to emphasise how difficult this activity will be for me, but I am determined to push myself to my limits and raise money for a great cause throughout the UK.
Ronald Mcdonald House charities, give families the chance to remain close to their child whilst they are in hospital. Their location, as close as possible to a specialist children’s hospital across the UK, means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life and reducing emotional and financial strain.
During the pandemic lockdown, it has become increasingly more difficult for fundraising to take place specifically for the charity I am looking to raise money for as McDonalds have closed their stores and donations that are made there will no longer be possible
Since becoming a parent myself, I can empathise with how parents must feel if their little ones were in need and I know how much I would appreciate what Ronald McDonald charity houses would be able to provide if I were in their situation.
Thanks for listening :)
