Telling 2-Minute Tales

We're crowdfunding a beautiful limited-edition book to celebrate the stories of our inspirational #2minutebeachclean family.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

Who are we?

Since our founder Martin Dorey started doing a #2minutebeachclean in Cornwall in 2013, we’ve seen his simple, brilliant idea become a movement around the UK and beyond.

Every day our two-minute family share their stories of passion, imagination and love for our coastline as we clean thousands of beaches, one plastic cotton bud stick at a time.

The #2minutebeachclean has brought thousands of us - and our stories - together from around the world.

What do we want to do?

We want to share one hundred of our favourite inspirational #2minutetales with you in a beautiful, limited-edition print run of 1000 copies. The money will make the writing, designing and publishing of the book possible.

We've so many inspirational stories, all of them #2minutetales we can't wait to see in print. From the couple who crowdfunded one of our beach clean boards for their wedding, to the campaigner who raises money from local businesses to buy books for children to learn about beach litter.

The finished book will be packed full of tales to inspire all of us: tales to make us think, make us feel and make us want to keep changing the world. We believe that's worth crowdfunding and we hope you do too!

Why does your pledge really matter?

Some of these #2minutetales are inspirational, some are funny, some are downright emotional. But each one matters and every single one of them will help make our beaches cleaner and lovelier places, two minutes at a time.

Your money will help pay for time to go back and find the beautiful imagery shared with us over the last five years, catch up with every one of the people we feature and publish a beautiful tribute to the #2minute family.

The whole #2minute crew will come together to create the book. As mother of the #2minutebeachclean family, Dolly will work with our founder Martin and writer Paul Trueman to curate the 100 people and their stories. Our Creative Director Tab will design the book and we’ll work on it over the summer and aim to have it in your hands by late Autumn.

If we manage to hit our target, any additional funds we raise will help us continue campaigning for cleaner seas, putting more beach clean boards on beaches and gathering and recording more data on marine litter with our app.

Let's do this!

This is our way of celebrating everyone who rolls up their sleeves and shows what we can achieve when we come together. Help us make it happen and be part of something special!
