There’s just a few hours left of our Crowdfunder campaign, and what a journey it’s been so far. Starting off with 209 MPs and 209 photographers, we’ve gained:
- 212 supporters
- Thousands of mentions, shares and tags online
- Big press stories
… which means the number of voices supporting this historic project has skyrocketed.
Not only have so many of you got behind 209 Women and pledged to support female artists, and champion the visibility of women, we’ve also had the blessing of Helen Pankhurst, granddaughter of one of the most prolific suffragettes of all.
Our call for support may be ending in just a few hours, but the project has really only just begun. Next, we’ll be gathering all the incredible portraits our artists have been perfecting in post-production, ready to frame and display at the Palace of Westminster, in a landmark exhibition free and open to all.
We hope that you’ll visit, follow our journey and continue to engage with the conversation and celebration of suffragettes’ legacy.
