Hello there, My name is Ben Knox and this is my good friend Jack McDaid. We both live in Inverclyde and starting from the 11th of October we will be running 200KM in 20 days (100KM each). We have decided to do this as we want to raise awareness for mens mental health within our community and want to raise as much funds as possible for a charity who are doing so much for our local area. This charity is Man On! - Inverclyde.
Men don't talk about mental health enough and do not open up about how they are truly feeling and we believe Man On! are encouraging men to speak up and ask for help and support.
Man On! is a suicide prevention peer support service for the men of Inverclyde. Man On! have different methods to help and talk to people and these methods are: social media platforms, face to face in groups and digital platforms such as zoom. Man On! aim to understand the stigma attached to mens mental health and remove some of the barriers that complicate it.
Myself and Jack want to raise as much money as we can to support Man On! Because we believe in what they are doing, and we believe that they will make a difference to many peoples lives.
If you are willing to make a donation to this cause we would really appreciate it! Even if its only a small amount it still means so much to us and we will be very grateful! All funds that are raised from our 200KM in 20 days will be going directly to Man On!
