1st Chertsey Scout Group recently completed the construction of a brand new HQ that will transform Scouting activities for local young people. The new facility is located in a safer, more appropriate location in the town, and meets the needs of all who wish to join in with the fun and adventure Scouting affords.

Most of the Group fundraising efforts over the past 10 years have been directed at supporting the new HQ build, and consequently, much of the equipment we regularly use for camping, cooking, and activities is looking a bit dog-eared! Our goal is to repair, replace, and renew much of our kit, particularly the items used in the new HQ facility - benches, tables, chairs, and so on.

To coincide with the completion of the project, we have also started a new Explorer Unit (Intrepid) that will serve young people aged 14-18 across the District of Runnymede. This new venture also requires the provision of equipment for a different range of activities and therefore increases the need for funds.
