Hi all. I hate to have to do this but we are now in the position that my 19yr old son is needing to have 3 Dental implants which are extremely expensive. Mat had a bike accident during the first lockdown where his quick release wheel come off as he was riding it. He landed on his face knocking out his two front teeth completely and damaging two others. The hospital put his teeth back in advising us that they may or may not take. Covid has slowed down his treatment but we have now got to the stage where 1 tooth seems to have been saved but the two front teeth are having to be removed due to irreparable damage and the fact they are degrading, also causing a abscess. The 4th tooth has already been removed as it was too damaged to save. Mat will now have 3 teeth missing- 2 his front teeth. He will have a temporary denture ahead of implants. We are awaiting full costing but have been advised that we are looking at approximately £2500 per one so this could be around £7500 on top of all the dental costs he already has with referrals and current treatment plans. Mat is currently only part time in retail and his Army application was paused as they can’t take him on with on going dental treatment. He is only 19 so there is no way I can leave him without his front teeth. So I’m hoping to raise money to help fund his new teeth. Please if you can’t donate could you share so we can reach as much help as we can. Thank you for reading and supporting us.
