100 mile run over 10 days* (if I can do more miles in a day it’ll be less) will be using strava so people know it’s done!

HI,

I’m looking to raise 2000 for two things that are close to my heart.

Number 1..

My local football club Poole Town FC. I’ve been following the club home and away for a number of years now and I wanted to be able to help them out during these tough times. As for any non league club COVID-19 has stopped the revenue coming in and I want to be able to give them as much as I can to see them through these tough times. Over the years I’ve gone from volunteering for the club to being ‘the drunk one’ and probably annoying majority of the fans, and hopefully the people I’ve annoyed and upset can forgive and accept my apology for the nuisance I’ve caused over the years.

Number 2..

Gamblers Anonymous. I’ve had a gambling addiction for the best part of 7 years. 8th June 2020 was my last bet and I’m hoping it stays that way forever because it is a horrible addiction that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. I lost my Dad in March this year and as much as I tried to stay strong through it all I really did struggle as anyone would and gambling took my mind off that. I have been sectioned to St Anne’s twice because I felt I was at the end of my life and ready to end it all. I reached out to someone on twitter who is 5 years gambling free and I can honestly say that night probably saved my life. He invited me to a gamblers anonymous meeting through a zoom call and hearing peoples stories and being able to share my own story to people that understand it really did help me out and I couldn’t recommend anything more to those of you out there that feel like you have no where to go.

apologies for the long essay but these two things mean a hell of a lot to me. I’m hoping to run these 100 miles in 10 days any support on this would go a long way and would be really appreciated by me and many others.

looking to start this Sunday 26th July so please share it about as much as possible!
