Cove Woodland Trust, comprising of local volunteers, desperately need to purchase a sit-n-ride mower to begin the transformation of 16 acres of unruly grassland into a park with clearly defined areas and pathways for the enjoyment of the whole community.

Chairman of the Trust and local resident, Ian Bowie, who will soon turn 76 years old, has decided to walk the West Highland Way to raise financial support for the purchase of a sit-n-ride mower.

Ian will set off on his 95 mile (154 km) trek from Milngavie on May 4th and, all being well, arrive in Fort William one week later. He has promised to keep us updated on his progress with regular check-ins on the Cove Woodland Trust Facebook page.

Pictured below is the sit-n-ride mower that Ian hopes to purchase for Cove Woodland Trust.
