'Saving Mother Earth' children's book

by Saving Mother Earth in Kenya

We did it
On 1st October 2018 we successfully raised £775 with 14 supporters in 56 days

The aim of this project and book is to educate children across Africa about ways they can save the environment.

by Saving Mother Earth in Kenya

This book started as an idea to do something about educating children on how our everyday behaviour is affecting our environment, and mother nature. Global warming is real and getting worse each day. It is so important to rethink about our everyday activity, reduce our waste, reuse and recycle. We only have this planet to take care of, there is no planet B.

The author, Marwan Misbah, and co-author Kendi Kimathi are both environmental activists and have worked together for the last 4 years to produce this children's book.

Our vision is to distribute the book to all children across Africa, because children are the future. It is vital they learn about ways they can change their behaviour and help save the environment. We all know the damage we inflict on the planet and it is time to change this. This page has been set up to help achieve this vision. Any money raised will be used to donate and distribute books to children and schools across Africa, starting with Kenya. Any donations made via Crowdfunder will be accounted for by reporting how many children received the book and at which school. In addition, we will provide updates on the impact of the book as well as photos from the schools. We are going to work closely with the Ministry of Education to ensure we reach all schools in varying demographic clusters.

The book contains 50 illustrated, high quality pages, including colouring pages. The cost of one book is 500Ksh (or USD$5.00).

Thank you in advance for your donations and support - any donations = book donations to children!
