We are taking on an Iconic UK challenge in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales! We will summit Yorkshire’s three tallest peaks in one day and accomplish an ascent of 1,532m – higher than the UK’s largest mountain! We will accomplish a marathon distance trek but with three hills.
This exciting and rewarding challenge will have us trekking over the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks within a period of just 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The route is extremely scenic and provides spectacular views over the Yorkshire countryside.
Whilst it lasts just one day, we will not take this challenge lightly as the terrain is extremely varied involving some steep ascents and descents. We expect to cover a marathon distance by foot – but in just a matter of hours.
A team of C.O.P walkers will conquer the ‘ultimate challenge’, whilst raising vital funds for many needed & heart-warming projects. After costs, all money raised will be split between Community of Purpose and The Teenage Cancer Trust. These funds will support the delivery of a diverse range of programmes, projects and schemes throughout the greater Bristol region. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to be involved in supporting needs led and solution focused programmes which will have a direct impact in the community. Your support really will make a difference.
